<p>Vermont Business Roundtable chair,  Bill Stritzler, Managing Director of Smugglers’ Notch Resort, has announced the  election of three Vermont CEOs to three-year terms on the Board of Directors.  The new directors assumed their roles during the Roundtable’s Annual Membership meeting on January 14,  2010.<span id="more-316"></span></p>
<p>The new directors include: Leon Berthiaume, General  Manager, St. Albans Cooperative Creamery, Inc. (St. Albans); Dave Finney,  President, Champlain College (Burlington);  and Rob Simpson, President and CEO,  Brattleboro Retreat (Brattleboro).</p>
<p>Continuing members of the Roundtable Board are: Ted  Adler, Founder and President, Union Street Media (Burlington);  Pennie Beach, President, Basin Harbor Club (Vergennes); Gregory Bourgea,  co-Managing Partner, Gallagher Flynn &amp; Company (Burlington); Ellen Mercer  Fallon, Partner, Langrock Sperry &amp; Wool (Middlebury); Tommy Harmon, President and CEO, Sonnax Industries  (Bellows Falls); Mark Neagley, President, Neagley &amp; Chase Construction  (South Burlington); G. Kenneth Perine, President, National Bank of Middlebury  (Middlebury); Howard Pierce, CEO, PKC  Corporation (Burlington); Mary  Powell, President and CEO, Green Mountain Power (Colchester);  Brad Robertson, Publisher, Burlington  Free Press (Burlington); Geoffrey B. Shields, President, Dean and Professor of  Law, Vermont Law School (South Royalton); Steve  Voigt, President and CEO, King Arthur Flour (Norwich); and,  Bob Young, President and CEO, Central  Vermont Public Service (Rutland).</p>
<p>Also at the Annual Meeting, outgoing directors  John Marshall, former Managing  Partner, Downs Rachlin Martin (St. Johnsbury) and Tim  Volk, President, Kelliher Samets Volk (Burlington) were  recognized for their long-standing and significant service to the  Roundtable.</p>

Stritzler of Smugglers’ Notch Resort has been elected chair of the Vermont Business Roundtable, and five Vermont CEOs are newly-elected to three year terms on the board of directors. The new directors and officers assumed their roles during the Roundtable’s Annual Membership Meeting on January 14, 2009. Stritzler takes over the position from Timothy R. Volk, president of Kelliher Samets Volk, a Burlington-based marketing firm. Upon taking the helm Stritzler said, “There is much work to be done and the Roundtable is in a unique position to provide leadership on critical issues.”<span id="more-174"></span></p>
<p>Other newly elected officers include Steven P. Voigt, president and chief executive officer of King Arthur Flour Company, Inc., of Norwich as vice chair, Douglas H. Griswold, president of S.T. Griswold &amp; Co., Inc. of Williston as secretary, and Mark R. Neagley, president of Neagley &amp; Chase Construction Co. of So. Burlington, as treasurer.</p>
<p>The five new members of the board are Edward F. &#8220;Ted&#8221; Adler, founder &amp; president, Union Street Media (Burlington); Gregory G. Bourgea, CPA, co-managing partner, Gallagher, Flynn &amp; Company, LLP (Burlington); Peter A. Hofstetter, chief executive officer, Northwestern Medical Center, Inc. (St. Albans); G. Kenneth Perine, president, National Bank of Middlebury (Middlebury); and Brad Robertson, president and publisher, The Burlington Free Press (Burlington).</p>
<p>Continuing members of the Roundtable Board are: Pennie Beach, president, Basin Harbor Club (Vergennes); Ellen Mercer Fallon, partner, Langrock Sperry &amp; Wool, LLP (Middlebury); John H. <p>The Roundtable was created in 1987 as a nonprofit, public interest organization, comprised of 100 CEOs of Vermont&#8217;s top private and non-profit sector employers dedicated to <em>making Vermont the best place in America to do business, be educated, and live life</em>, through collaboration, research and analysis, and communication and advocacy.</p>
